Total usable area of our warehouse space exceeds 11,000 sq. m (~ 120,000 sq. ft) including a substantial area with climate control for storage of temperature-sensitive goods. The facility also includes large commercial refrigerator and freezer cameras for storage of perishable goods.
Number of SKUs (Product Items): Over 1,700, and constantly increasing.
Number of Clients: Our Group is the leading supplier of fine imported food products to “NetCost Market” (website: http://www.netcostmarket.com/), the largest US chain catering to the Eastern European and Russian-speaking immigrant community, with 11 supermarkets in New York, New Jersey & Pennsylvania, and three more locations opening in 2018-2019 including the chain's first supermarket in Miami, Florida. In addition, we supply our products to over 900 retail grocery outlets and food distributors all over the United States (in 40 out of 50 states).
Group Annual Sales: From our humble beginnings in 2012, our annual sales grew steadily from less than $500,000 in 2012 to over $7 million in 2015, and to $21 million in 2017!
Permanent Personnel: At the present time, the Group has over 40 employees including:
- managing director;
- sales & marketing managers;
- purchasing department manager;
- commercial directors for supervising imports from specific countries (e.g., Belarus);
- director of foreign relations (in charge of establishing relations with new potential suppliers);
- warehouse and logistics managers;
- IT specialists;
- specialists for sales in Greater New York/Tri-State area (they visit the company’s clients in person);
- specialists for remote sales (outside of the Tri-State area);
- bookkeepers (A/R & A/P);
- warehouse/general workers;
- truck drivers.
Electronic Inventory & Sales Management System: The Group owns a unique, special-order electronic and computer system, which allows employees to conduct sales and manage warehouse inventory in real-time. The company’s sales force conducts all sales using the latest model computer laptops with mobile network access (via portable “HotSpot” modules) to the office and a warehouse computer system. This system allows preparing the goods ordered by the company’s clients immediately upon securing their orders, thus eliminating any human mistakes. The system also tracks order history for each client and makes recommendations about the volume of future orders, saving the clients a lot of time and the effort spent on order placement.
The Group also owns a B2B cloud-based online store “Lod Depot/Sales Cloud Solution” using which authorized wholesale clients may order products 24x7 without waiting to be contacted by the Group’s sales representatives.
Cargo Transport: Presently, all local transportation (New York, Staten Island, and the State of New Jersey) is carried out by the company’s own fleet of 8 trucks of “Isuzu,” “Hitachi,” “International,” and other makes, capable to transport from 10-12 to 50+ pallets of the goods; most of the trucks are equipped with “ThermoKing” or similar climate control systems for the cargo compartments. All long-distance cargo deliveries are made by logistics companies of the clients' choice.
Liability Insurance: The Group carries a multimillion-dollar liability policy from a major insurance company.
